SoCal City Employees Allegedly Caught Drinking, Driving, Going To A Strip Club During Work Hours (Updated)
It's the promo that has Los Angeles news hounds buzzing: CBS2's David Goldstein will report on Thursday's 11 p.m. show that "city workers" have been captured on video allegedly drinking on the job, drinking while driving city vehicles and making at least one stop to a strip club during work hours. It's not yet clear what city they're from (one shot appears to show men near the Alameda Strip club in Vernon). But if they're employees of Los Angeles, we have to wonder if these are the jobs that Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and the City Council are bending over backwards to save as L.A. faces a nearly $700 million deficit come July 1? Just curious ...
(Update): KNX 1070 Newsradio reports the employees in question work for L.A. city's embattled Department of Water and Power. H. David Nahai, the former head of the department, called them "a few bad apples."
