If you live in Southern California and you don't skate you should be ashamed. Skateboarding is awesome transportation for quick, local runs to the 7-Eleven. It's good for your health (so long as you don't break anything). It's cheap. It's fun, And it's easy.
Even a dog can do it. A very little dog. The L.A. County Department of Animal Care and Control says a talented skateboarding chihuahua has fallen into its hands:
And for almost nothing, you can have Chiquita.
The owner was facing financial difficulties and gave the pooch and her custom skateboard to the Baldwin Park Animal Care recently, county officials said.
Animal Care director Marcia Mayeda:
Chiquita was turned in to us by her owner who explained to staff that she has an unusual desire to ride her skateboard whenever she can.
Apparently this isn't unusual: We searched for "skateboarding chihuahua" on YouTube and found dozens of videos like this one:

Anyway, Chiquita is 6-years-old and needs a home, preferably with some righteous street skaters.
Animal Care workers are counseling her "to help her gain more confidence with people," according to a statement from the department.
Want her? Head to the Baldwin Park facility and ask for A4616472. Or just say you want the skateboarding dog. They'll know who you're taking about.
