Russell Pearce, Arizona's Immigration Law Author, Says Villaraigosa a Tool of Mexico
Russell Pearce is the psycho ex-state senator from Arizona who authored its infamous anti-illegal-immigration law, SB 1070. (By psycho, we mean this: Pearce recently wrote that the victims in the Aurora massacre should have risen up and taken the suspect down. Yeah).
The Arizona Republic recently published emails from 2007 that the paper says proves Pearce was motivated by racism when he authored the bill that now allows cops in that state to investigate whether brown folks they stop are in the country illegally.
In the emails, Pearce also had a few choice words for our own mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa:
The documents, released by the ACLU as part of a court case (PDF), have Pearce in rabid, mad-dog rant mode, complete with conspiracy theories about the motives and costs of illegal immigration.
As the Republic notes, he says awesome things like ...
... Can we maintain our social fabric as a nation with Spanish fighting English for dominance ... It's like importing leper colonies and hope we don't catch leprosy. It's like importing thousands of Islamic jihadists and hope they adapt to the American Dream.
... 9,000 people killed every year by illegal aliens ...
... the illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's two-and-a-half times that of non-illegal aliens.

But this isn't about brown people. It's about the law.
Anyway, here is the baffling Villaraigosa mention:
Mexico's Vicente Fox is no longer satisfied with the status quo. Battles commence as Mexican nationalists struggle to infuse their men into American government and strengthen control over their strongholds. One look at Los Angles with its Mexican-American mayor shows you Vicente Fox's general Varigossa commanding an American city.
Yeah, cowboy-boots-wearing [former Mexican president] Vicente Fox, onetime CEO of Coca-Cola and longtime ally of President George W. Bush, was using hard-left Democrat "Varigossa" to command an American city. Sure. (And seeing L.A.'s potholes, traffic and continual deficits, he wasn't doing a very good job at this particular reconquista).
The only conclusion we can make here is that Pearce is a mentally unbalanced man who should probably check out the wonders of antidepressants and any other psychoactive drugs his doctor recommends.
