Are cops ready for a mass of screaming teens? Not exactly. Maybe.
When we called today, an LAPD special events sergeant for the West L.A. area said it was the first time he had heard of the event:
'Nude' and Rihanna seem right together.
I was not even aware of that. Normally they have their own security, but based upon her ability to draw crowds, we might need to make contact to see if we can provide an additional police presence.
The appearance is to promote the release of her latest fragance, Nude by Rihanna. The singer will be at the Macy's from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday.
According to a publicist:
... The first 300 fans who make a $59 purchase of Nude by Rihanna (3.4 fl.oz.) will get the chance to have their photo taken with Rihanna, and also receive an autographed picture of the star and her new hit album, "Unapologetic."
Oh, and by the way, Nude ...
... has a seductive floral oriental blend, and is completely uninhibited. Top notes of the fragrance gives fans a glimpse into her native Barbados and incorporate layers of Guava Nectar, Mandarin and Pear. The center of the fragrance opens into a sultry softness with a blend of Orange Blossom, Gardenia Petals, and Velvet Jasmine Sambac. The seductive, milky gourmand base weaves together Sandalwood and Second-skin Musk, with the fresh and feminine hints of Vanilla Orchid, making the fragrance daring yet accessible--perfect for the gal who takes risks but values her femininity.
Now you know.
Hundreds of pop-crazed kids smells like fear to us.
