An up-and-coming rapper died in a horrific crash in the Leimert Park area over the weekend.
The victim was identified in reports as Gary Geter, a.k.a. Take Money or T.M. He was one of three people who died in the solo vehicle wreck early Sunday.
According to the L.A. Fire Department's Katherine Main ...
... the collision was reported at 2:49 a.m. at 2819 Coliseum Street. A car crashed into a tree and ended up in flames, she said.
Three of the four people inside the vehicle were "beyond medical help" when rescuers arrived, Main said. A survivor was hospitalized in serious condition, she said.
News footage from the scene showed a Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon or Cadillac Escalade (all are basically the same vehicle) wrapped around a tree and badly crumpled.
Reports indicated the SUV was going fast at a time when fog enveloped the area. The four might have been en route to an after party.
Last night friends, family and fans gathered at the location, some holding lit candles.
