Porn's Condom Mandate Okay With A Majority Of Adult Video Watchers, Says Online Poll
One of the porn industry's main arguments against mandatory condoms on-set is that you, the consumer, won't by videos where they're visible.
It's just not a part of the bow-chicka-bow-wow fantasy where a pizza delivery guy shows up to get down but pauses just to be safe, they seem to be saying.
Except that maybe you are okay with prophylactics after all:
That, at least, is according to a survey from "adult superstore" Adam & Eve. The online poll found that 68 percent of respondents said condoms in porn "would not affect their viewing habits."

According to the company's data, men were less into it than women, which would loosely mirror exit polling on last week's measure B, the L.A. county initiative that mandates condoms in porn. (The industry has called it a violation of its free speech and has threatened to sue).
About 64 percent of the men said condoms in porn wouldn't be a turnoff; 84 percent of women agreed.
Adam & Eve says 1,000 people responded to the poll.
Adam & Eve resident "sexpert" Kat Van Kirk says:
While the majority of adults say they support the use of condoms in their private lives, the idea of using them within the fantasy of erotica seems to be a negative. In the world of adult entertainment, where viewers want to see 'real' sex, perhaps the use of condoms makes it a little too real.
