Perps on Parade: L.A.'s Most Wanted
The LAPD's Web site offers a nifty rainy day diversion -- a photographic list of the city's most wanted suspects. While the database only provides an alphabetical listing and does not rate the 207 alleged criminals by the gravity of their crimes, it does offer a Top Ten slideshow and is searchable by geographic police division. It also provides gang affiliations and monikers when available, not to mention tattoo descriptions and, when appropriate, the name of the suspect's pimp. The L.A. Daily News has taken this list and fit it into a more convenient database that allows you to search a suspect by name (except when there's only a surveillance-camera photo and "Bank Robbery Suspect" must suffice), crime and race.
