... San Francisco. He was brought down to L.A. and booked into jail yesterday, according to L.A. County Sheriff's Department inmate data.
Yep, after all that, including scaring the bejesus out of area residents with warnings that the 54-year-old frequents area motels, shelters and churches, he was found nearly 400 miles away.
On Saturday, when helicopters still scanned Hollywood from above and officers made a strong showing in the area, Bridges was found walking around in San Francisco's Mission District.
Sheriff's authorities wanted Bridges for the Jan. 23 stabbing murder of 21-year-old Robert Brewer of Texas at a South L.A. motel. They said they received a tip that the suspect might be in San Francisco and notified local cops.
San Francisco police on the lookout for Bridges nabbed him about 12:45 p.m. Saturday, the sheriff's department stated. The suspect tried to run but was quickly collared, the department said.
Authorities alleged the suspect befriended young men on the street and took them for their money.
Bridges, whom cops say has a record as a sex offender, was booked on suspicion of murder, sheriff's officials said. He was being held without bail.
