Occupy L.A. Ah yes: peace, love and ... crime?

The L.A. City Attorney's office today announced charges have been filed against five downtown L.A. occupiers for everything ranging from assault with a deadly weapon to masturbating in public.

Yeah, they have it all at City Hall -- prayer services, a library in a tent, and alleged lewd conduct. The defendants include:

Farid Ahntab, 24: The City Attorney's office alleges that he held a knife to cops (on Oct. 29), tried to light a food vendor on fire (on Nov. 4) and resisted arrest (on Nov. 11). His charges, according to a statement:

... One count of possession of a deadly weapon, one count of brandishing a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon and one count of resisting arrest ...

Angele Chaidez, 21: Oh, Angele. Prosecutors accuse him of exposing himself and masturbating in front of fellow demonstrators, including children, on Nov. 11. His charges:

... One count of lewd conduct and one count of indecent exposure ...

Zachary Isaac, 21: Zach (can we call you Zach?) was alleged to have entered a victim's tent, calling her "Satan," then punching her on Nov. 11. Oh, Zach. The charge:

... One count of battery ...

(Was there a full moon on Nov. 11?).

Robert Holland Jr., 31: Roberto! The C.A.'s office says Roberto here waived a knife at a victim and then resisted arrest when the cops came for him on Halloween night. Charges?

... One count of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of brandishing a deadly weapon, one count of disturbing the peace and one count of resisting arrest.

Whew.

Michael Howard Thomson, 51: Mikey, aren't you a little too old for these shenanigans?

C.A.'s officials claim that on Oct. 11 Mikey pushed a victim and tried to grab a 2-year-old child at almost the same time. When someone stepped in to help, Mikey allegedly punched that person in the face. Then he "violently" resisted police, prosecutors say. Charges:

... Two counts of battery and one count of resisting arrest ...

Fight the power people. Just don't use your fists, knives or penises. Please.
