Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near Etiwanda Avenue

RESEDA, CA (April 24, 2024) – One man died Sunday night in a pedestrian crash on Sherman Way.

The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the crash happened on April 14th, around 9:00 p.m. near Etiwanda Avenue An individual in their 60s was crossing Etiwanda Avenue when they fell to the ground.

Simultaneously, a dark-colored sedan was traveling eastbound on Sherman Way. The sedan’s driver collided with the pedestrian and immediately fled the scene. Emergency services rushed to the scene, transporting the injured pedestrian to a nearby hospital.

Despite medical efforts, the pedestrian succumbed to their severe injuries later at the hospital. The identity and residence of the victim have not been disclosed by authorities.

Authorities are actively investigating the incident and seeking information from the public to apprehend the suspect.
