Murder was the Case: LA Homicide No. 287, Man Stabbed to Death in Alleyway Identified
A 43-year-old man who was stabbed and beaten in an alleyway last week died of his injuries in a nearby hospital. According to police reports, Jose Fuentes was confronted in a rear alleyway in the 2500 block of East Whittier Boulevard between Mathews Street and Penrith Drive at 6 pm on December 7 by two Hispanic male suspects.

The suspects repeatedly stabbed and beat Fuentes. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he died of his injuries on December 10 at 11:50 am. Anyone with information should contact Hollenbeck detectives at (323) 526-3679.
