Murder was the Case: LA Homicide No. 274, Man Gunned Down near busy Intersection
A Los Angeles man was shot as he walked with a friend near the busy intersection of South La Brea Avenue and Olympic Boulevard November 22. Juan Segura, 18, was walking along the sidewalk in the 1000 block of South La Brea Avenue Sunday afternoon when a car pulled alongside of him and his friend and at least one of the car's passengers opened fire on them. Segura was hit and collapsed on the sidewalk.

He was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. Segura's friend was not injured.
Detectives are still investigating the possible motive. However, they believe there were witnesses who fled the area after the shooting or saw what was going on when they were driving by. Anyone with information should contact Wilshire Division detectives at 213-473-0446.
