Murder Was the Case: L.A. Homicide No. 236, Man Shot in Parking Lot in South Los Angeles
A man was shot while sitting in a parking lot in South Los Angeles September 21. According to police reports, David William Colone Jr. was parked in his 1998 black Chevy Suburban when an unknown assailant approached him on foot and shot him.

Colone Jr. attempted to escape out of his vehicle and was shot multiple times. He was rushed to a local hospital where he died of his injuries. The 11:30 p.m. incident occurred at a parking lot at 103rd and Figueroa streets. Police believe the motive was gang-related.
