Murder Was the Case: L.A. Homicide No. 229, Man Found on Street in South Los Angeles
A 51-year-old unidentified man was found dead on the corner of Normandie Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard in South Los Angeles on September 14. The victim, who had been shot several times, was discovered by patrol officers after they responded to a shots fired call at 11:35 p.m. Monday night.

The shooters fled northbound on Normandie Avenue in a four-door sedan. Police suspect the incident was gang-related. No word yet on the victim's identity or who killed him. Anyone with information should contact Southwest Division detectives at (213) 485-1383.
