Murder Was the Case: L.A. Homicide No. 202, Man Dies of Gunshot Wounds
Christopher Lattier, 21, died of gunshot wounds August 16 at 102 East 84th Place.

The incident occurred 10:20 p.m. when Lattier was standing with his friends at what would become the crime scene. According to police reports a dark-colored mini-van pulled up next to the victims. The suspect, a male black, began questioning Lattier and a friend and subsequently shot at them. Lattier died of the gunshot wounds, but the other unidentified victim survived the gunfire after medical attention. According to initial information, the incident may not have been gang-related. However, investigations of the motive and suspects are underway.
