Murder Was the Case: L.A. Homicide No. 199, Man Shot in South L.A.
A 22-year-old man was fatally shot August 15 in South Los Angeles.

The shooting occurred on East 52nd Street near Avalon Boulevard around
4 a.m., Saturday morning. According to police reports, two men walked up to the victim while he was talking to a woman. The suspects fired multiple shots at the man in an alley off East 52nd Street, where, according to reports, there was a party in progress. The wounded victim was taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead. Police believe the incident to be gang-related. The victim's name has been withheld pending further investigation.
