Murder Was the Case: L.A. Homicide No. 198, Man Stabbed in South L.A. Identified

UPDATE: The man stabbed to death on August 13, following an alleged gang-related scuffle in South Los Angeles has been identified as 49-year-old Joseph Martinez. The incident happened at 12004 South Figueroa Street at about 12.30 a.m. Officers at the scene found Martinez with slash wounds to the left cheek and neck, after a fight broke out. He later died of his injuries. Anyone with information on the case can contact the Southeast Station at (213) 972-7828.
