Murder Was the Case: L.A. Homicide No. 180, Victim Identified in Fatal Stabbing Downtown
A man who was found dead on a downtown street August 1 has been identified as 67-year-old Robert Burrus. Burrus was discovered on West Sixth Street and Fremont Avenue at 7 a.m.

He was the victim of a "wound to his throat." Police say they have no suspects but do not believe the incident is gang-related. Anyone with information should contact Central Division detectives at (213) 972-1203.
