Murder Was the Case: L.A. Homicide No. 177, Injured Man Found at Bus Stop Dies
On July 16, around 6 a.m., police found 29-year-old Thomas Pearson Jr. by a bus stop on the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. and Leimert boulevards.

Pearson was the victim of a gunshot wound to the head. Police speculate that he may have been shot as early as 3 a.m. He was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries July 20, four days later. Police have no suspects in the shooting death. Anyone with information should contact South Bureau Homicide at (213) 485-4341.
