Murder Was the Case: L.A. Homicide No. 174, Shooting on Stanford Avenue
Thirty-one-year old Willie Adams died while his friend was seriously injured during a shooting incident on July 25.

The incident occurred at 2 a.m. on Saturday, when gunmen walked into an apartment building located in the 9000 block of Stanford Avenue in South Los Angeles and shot at the men. The second victim, whose identity is being protected, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is recovering. Although initial reports indicated a case of home invasion, police now suspect the shooting to be gang-related. Anyone with information call the South Homicide Department at (213) 485-4341.
