Murder Was the Case: L.A. Homicide No. 168, Taxi Driver Shot
A taxi driver who was shot in an apparent attempted robbery on July 5 has died of his injuries.

Nery Arias, 44, died at a local hospital on June 20 at 11:20 a.m. -- 15 days after he was shot on the 400 block of East 28th Street. No word yet on who or why Arias was killed. Anyone with information should call Newton detectives at (323) 846-5363.
