Murder Was the Case: L.A. Homicide No. 158, Unconscious Man Dies of Injuries
Newton-area detectives were notified on July 14 that a man who was found unconscious on a sidewalk died from his injuries.

The victim, a male Hispanic in his mid-40s, was discovered about 8:20 p.m., on July 6, on the corner of Wadsworth Avenue and East 49th Place in South Los Angeles. The man died from head injuries on July 9 in a local hospital.
