Murder Was the Case: L.A. Homicide No. 130: Man Dies After Being Battered at Senior Center
A 60-year-old man was killed after getting into a fight at a senior center in Pacoima.

Paramedics found Fidel Toro June 8 on the ground inside the Alicia Broadous-Duncan Multi-Purpose Senior Center, 11300 Glenoaks Boulevard. He was transported to a local hospital where he died the next day.
According to police, Toro got into an argument with 57-year-old Gustavo Soriano that soon escalated into a physical fight and "Mr. Toro sustained an injury which rendered him unconscious." A coroner report listed his injury as "blunt head" trauma.
Soriano was arrested for manslaughter and his bail is set at $25,000.
