Murder was the Case: LA Homicide No. 116, Update: Man Wanted for Killing on Residential Street

An African American man in his early 40's was shot as he was standing on the sidewalk near the corner of East 48th Place and Ascot Avenue at 8:30 pm last night, making his death the 116th homicide in Los Angeles this year. According to preliminary police reports, an unknown African American assailant walked up to the victim and shot him. The unidentified victim died this morning at 6 a.m. at a local hospital.
