"Tagging was probably a motive for the murder," said LAPD Hollenbeck division detective Jose Ramirez. "Some gangs take it to heart. They don't want to see anyone tag in their neighborhood." The shooters fled the scene but were arrested by police at a nearby apartment complex a few hours later. Castro was transported to a local hospital where he died of his injuries. Anyone with information about the shooting should contact LAPD Hollenbeck Division detectives at (323) 526-3679.
