Luke Kang Beat Mother to Death With Golf Club in Rancho Cucamonga, Cops Allege
Twenty-six-year-old Luke Kang was in jail today, accused of beating his 60-year-old mother to death with a golf club.
He was originally booked on suspicion of attempted murder but, after the victim died the next day, suspicion of murder was added to the allegations that are keeping him behind bars, according to San Bernardino County inmate data.
Authorities also allege he violated his parole. There's no bail for his case. Here's what S.B. County sheriff's officials say happened:
Deputies checking out a domestic disturbance call at 7:16 p.m. Wednesday found Hannah Kang "suffering from severe upper body trauma," according to a sheriff's statement.

While cops won't say how she was beaten, KTLA News says she was bludgeoned with a golf club.
It happened at the home the two shared in the 11500 block of Stoneridge Drive in Rancho Cucamonga.

Deputies say the elder Kang was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 7:10 Thursday morning.
Neighbors told the San Bernardino Sun that the younger Kang had mental issues.
A neighbor reportedly called 911 after seeing Luke Kang and his father in a stand-off in front of their home, golf clubs in-hand.
On his two-friend Facebook page Luke Kang says he attended a theological seminary. He also points viewers to a web page that's no longer up. He writes of it:
It is not inappropriate material but something in my life that I came up with that took many years. But always remember to read and share. Hopefully it will become the new e=mc2.
Cops are still looking for additional witnesses. Call 909-387-3589 if you know something.
