Luggage belonging to the security details for visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netayahu accidently turned up at LAX, with at least one gun reportedly missing. According to reports, the luggage was supposed to be placed on a connecting flight to Washington D.C. in New York. Instead, American Airlines workers misrouted the luggage to LAX.

The bag, belonging to officers from Israeli security service Shin Bet, contained four Glock 9-millimeter pistols.

Sgt. Belinda Nettles, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles airport police, confirmed the luggage was found at terminal 4 Tuesday, but could not confirm how many guns were missing.

Police in New York are investigating whether the weapons were stolen at JFK or at another airport along the way. A source told NBC that Transportation Security Administration screeners at the New York airport inspected and put a seal over the bag.

A Shin Bet spokesman said that the missing pistols had not forced any change to Netanyahu's schedule or security measures.
