Leonides Yama, L.A. Homicide No. 78: South Los Angeles Man Killed in Gang-Related Attack
A man who was shot multiple times as he was walking across the street in South Los Angeles April 5 has been identified as 20-year-old Leonides Yama.
The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. in the 200 block of East 61st Street. Yama was taken to a local hospital where he died of his injuries. Police believe the shooting was gang-related.
