L.A. Controller Laura Chick has been named by Governor Schwarzenegger to the newly minted office of Inspector General that will oversee the spending of the state's $50 billion of federal stimulus money. Chick earned a reputation as an aggressive watchdog while in Los Angeles and is expected to bring her characteristic disregard for political reputations to Sacramento.
