L.A. Gas Prices Rising; AAA Says Fill Up Now

After eight weeks of falling prices at the American pump, your cost for a gallon gas could be headed up.
In fact AAA of Southern California warned on its Facebook page last night that prices would increase and that you should fill 'er up ASAP, like this morning. Really:
AAA blames a 30-cent, four-day rise in wholesale prices, low inventory and at least one California refinery going off-line for maintenance.
The latest Lundberg Survey of nationwide fuel prices, released over the weekend, already shows one-cent rise per gallon of gas after that 8 week period of sliding-prices bliss.
L.A. County alone enjoyed 30 days of dropping prices from early April to early May. We saw an average price of $3.89 a gallon last week. No longer.
The higher digits at the pump are just in time for the coming summer driving season, which always seems to increase demand -- and prices. So, yeah, maybe the best prices of 2013 are behind us.
We knew it was too good to last: Southern California gas prices are going back up again. Wholesale prices have risen by 30 cents a gallon in the last four days. Tonight/tomorrow morning would be a good time to fill up.
