Kanye West Allegedly Puts Photog in Hospital
Updated at the bottom: Of course it was captured on video. Plus, LAX police weigh-in. First posted at 2:30 p.m.
Kanye West finally unleashed his fists on a photog at LAX today, TMZ is reporting.
LAPD Officer Rosario Herrera told us "we do have a battery investigation" happening at the airport this afternoon. L.A. Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott told the Weekly that a rescue ambulance did respond this afternoon to the Tom Bradley terminal:
It's not clear if the call is related to the reported attack. Scott said paramedics were called to the terminal at 1:51 p.m. based on a report of a person down.
Preliminary info indicates the person is an adult male, Scott said. The man was transported to a hospital in unknown condition, he said.

West has had a contentious relationship with the paparazzi and has been seen on video tussling with a photog.
[Warning: NSFW language]:
TMZ says the alleged assault happened after the rapper told the shooter to stop asking questions. The site describes the paparazzo as somewhat aggressive in his drilling of West:
... Kanye attacked, attempting several punches, and the man fell down.
[Update at 5:58 p.m.]: TMZ has X17online video of the alleged attack. It's not as bad as previously believed, but it will probably end up costing the rapper somehow.
[Update at 6:16 p.m.]: LAX police Sgt. Belinda L. Nettles tells us the fracas is being investigated as a possible battery. No one was arrested, she said, because "there was no suspect on scene when we arrived."
Here's the statement on the matter from her department:
Today at approximately 2:00 p.m., at the Tom Bradley International Terminal (on the arrival level curbside), Los Angeles Airport Police officers were flagged down by a citizen (photographer) who alleged that he was taking pictures of an individual when he was battered by the subject. The alleged subject was not at the location nor was he observed by officers at the scene. LAFD was notified, responded to the location and transported the victim to a local hospital for medical attention. A police report was taken by the Los Angeles Police Department and the investigation is ongoing.
