Jerry Vontel Bogan, L.A. Homicide No. 151: 24-year-old Man Fatally Shot in South L.A.
A young man fatally shot in South Los Angeles on July 11 has been identified as 24-year-old Jerry Vontel Bogan, according to Detective Bernie Mendoza of 77th's Criminal Gang Homicide Division. The shooting occurred in the 300 block of West 75th Street. (See map after the jump)
The victim was shot by an unknown suspect around 11p.m. and transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are searching for the unknown suspect. Anyone with any information about the shooting is urged to contact 77th Division homicide detectives at (213) 485-4341
***Please note that in a previous entry, the victim was incorrectly identified as being 17-years-old. This was due to an error on a LAPD press release.
