Jerry Brown To Announce For Governor Tuesday
California Attorney General Jerry Brown will announce his intentions to run for office Tuesday, the Sacramento Bee is reporting.
Brown, who has no serious Democratic challengers, was making party leaders nervous by standing on the sidelines for so long as Republican Meg Whitman continued to make waves via loads of television advertising.
The Bee states that he has no events scheduled for tomorrow but will start to grant interviews as an official candidate on Wendesday and Thursday. The ex-governor will face either Whitman or Republican Steve Poizner unless someone else dives into the race.
