Authorities raided the home of porn star James Deen recently as part of a state investigation into his eponymous production company.

"A Cal/OSHA inspection warrant was executed at the private residence/office/studio of James Deen," said Erika L. Monterroza, director of communications for the the state Division of Occupational Safety and Health, aka Cal/OSHA.

The raid took place locally Tuesday with the help of the Los Angeles Police Department, she said.

James Deen Productions came under investigation last month after the AIDS Healthcare Foundation amended a complaint against the entity, alleging "serious workplace health and safety violations."

Cal/OSHA officials wouldn't say exactly what they were investigating, but their confirmation Dec. 8 that they were looking into Deen's adult-video enterprise came hot on the heels of allegations that he raped or otherwise sexually abused some of the women he had worked with, both on set and off.

A number of accusers came forward after Deen's ex-girlfriend, porn star Stoya, alleged via Twitter that he had raped her.

"James Deen held me down and f—ked me while I said no, stop, used my safe word," Stoya wrote. "I just can’t nod and smile when people bring him up anymore."

Let's be clear here that Deen is innocent unless proven otherwise in a court of law.

"James Deen could be cited for workplace violence as well as health and safety violations," AHF president Michael Weinstein told reporters last month.

News of the raid was first reported by the (NSFW) website TRPWL.
