The Los Angeles Police Department knows you'll be on it this weekend, and it will be on its own mission with two DUI checkpoints. One of them is right in the middle of Clubland, aka Hollywood, too. So beware.
The department says that publicizing its drunk-driver crackdowns prevents at least some of you from getting behind the wheel after one too many. And that could save lives.
"The DUI checkpoints focus on communities where preventable DUI traffic collisions are occurring," the department said in a statement.
