Finally! Here's the Opening Date for Downtown L.A.'s Whole FoodsEXPAND

We know you have your reusable bags picked out, cleaned and ready.

Whole Foods is coming to downtown Los Angeles, putting the final exclamation point on the area's transformation from a 9-to-5 community to a 24/7 hub of yup-scale living.

Today area city Councilman Jose Huizar and Whole Foods Market officials finally gave you the date you've been waiting for—opening day for the chain's first downtown L.A. store: Nov. 4.

That's a long way off. But at least it will open in time for Thanksgiving and the holidays. Organic free-range turkey is a necessity.

The "flagship" store will take up 41,000 square feet at 770 S. Grand Avenue. It will exist in a 700-unit luxury apartment complex.

"Residents of downtown have wanted a Whole Foods for years, and I'm very happy that my office has helped deliver it," Huizar said.

Earlier this week his office called it "a store full of the latest and greatest for residents and professionals of downtown Los Angeles."

Just don't forget to toss some organic grapes to the homeless people outside.
