Not only that but of 187 suspected drunk drivers arrested Saturday night alone, six were involved in injury crashes, according to the sheriff's department:

Ten days into the annual end-of-summer drunk driver crackdown and the L.A. County Sheriff's Department says arrests are up compared to the same period last year -- 1,373 vs. 1,258.

And it's not over yet. The so-called maximum-enforcement period, which involves nearly every law enforcement agency in L.A. county, lasts through Sept. 2, Labor Day, and will see dozens of checkpoints and drunk patrols.
