Eddie Carroll, L.A. Homicide No. 30: Man Gunned Down in His South Los Angeles Apartment
A 42-year-old man was shot and killed after a dispute at his apartment February 21. According to police reports, Eddie Carroll came home to his apartment that he shared with his wife in the 600 block of East 48th Street around 12:30 p.m. and found a female friend with a man in a bedroom.

Apparently, the two men got into a physical altercation. Carroll left the house, returned five minutes later to pick up some belongings, and was then shot by the suspect, 48-year-old Frank Howard. Howard was arrested later that day by police. Anyone with information about the shooting should contact LAPD Newton Division detectives at (323) 846-6556.
