DUI Checkpoint in Hollywood This Weekend

It might be the calm before the New Year's Eve storm, but police are being vigilant nonetheless.

Yes, despite a holiday crackdown that has already seen 520 DUI arrests across L.A. County between Dec. 13 and Dec. 25, cops are really just getting warmed up. The amateur night known as NYE is like shooting fish in a barrel for drunk-driver busts.

The windup starts tonight, and we have the 411 (including a checkpoint in Hollywood) on where police will be:

Tonight from 6 p.m. to midnight the LAPD will have a DUI checkpoint operating at Manchester Avenue and Hoover Street in South Los Angeles.
