The case of a 19-year-old woman who reportedly confessed to killing at least 22 people might be coming to Los Angeles.
The FBI and the police chief in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, where Miranda Barbour was being charged with murder, couldn't confirm reports that Los Angeles authorities were contacted to investigate whether she might have killed someone here.
But Sunbury Chief Steve Mazzeo did tell the Weekly ...
... that the case has gone national:

"Absolutely," he said. "Under Pennsylvania law I can neither confirm nor deny any specifics. We formally requested assistance from the FBI, though."
Laura Eimiller, spokeswoman for the FBI in Los Angeles, would only say that "the Bureau routinely provides assistance, when requested by local police."
An LAPD spokeswoman, Rosario Herrera, said the department had not been contacted about the investigation.
Barbour and her husband of just a few weeks Elytte, 22, were charged for the murder of 42-year-old Troy LeFerrara in Sunbury.
While behind bars the teen told a reporter for the local paper, The Daily Item, that she killed so many people, sometimes luring men through Craigslist personal ads, that she lost count, according to the publication:
I would lure these people in. I studied them. I learned them and even became their friend. I did this to people who did bad things and didn't deserve to be here anymore
She reportedly put the number at 22 - at the least. And, Barbour reportedly said, she was raised in a cult where she witnessed atrocity at a young age.
LaFerrara was lured through a Craigslist ad, she said: He allegedly agreed to pay $100 for sex but backed out when she told him she was underage, Barbour reportedly told the paper. That's when she and her husband killed the guy, she reportedly said.
The young woman reportedly said she had traveled around the country, including stops in California, Texas, Alaska and North Carolina, killing along the way.
Doubt was already being cast on her story, however.
