Her boyfriend may be behind bars in Los Angeles, as LAPD investigators work around the clock to build a case against him for the near-death beating of Giants fan Bryan Stow, but that didn't stop 26-year-old Denise Piccione from going on a crime spree of her own in Vegas last week.
Piccione could be one of two remaining suspects that the LAPD Robbery-Homicide Division has been searching for in the Dodger Stadium beating. Witnesses saw a female drive away Stow's two attackers the night of Opening Day (with a small boy in the backseat as well).
Piccione's Vegas arrest record lists her as a white woman in her mid-20s, and includes one charge of "soliciting or engaging in prostitution" in 2009. (Hm. What's Nevada good for, if not prostitution? Sen. Harry Reid would be proud.) Most recently, on July 9, she was re-arrested for meth trafficking and possession of a dangerous weapon.
Ramirez may have also had some legal troubles out in the desert. As the Weekly reported in June, KCAL9 obtained a report of a Nevada shooting, 20 miles outside of Vegas, in which Ramirez appeared to be the key suspect:
In the Nevada attack, Ramirez is said to have been wearing an L.A. Dodgers cap, according to KCAL. ...
The station indicates the attack could have been retaliation for the 2005 killing of Ramirez's daughter.
LAPD Chief Charlie Beck seemed to confirm the report, saying "it would not be false" to report that Ramirez had problems in another state.
A woman sought in the beating of a San Francisco Giants fan at Dodgers stadium was arrested on drug charges in Las Vegas this week. ...
Los Angeles police believe Piccione was the woman driving beating suspect Giovanni Ramirez away from the crime scene March 31 at Dodgers Stadium.

The LAPD is being more tight-lipped about the whole thing -- today, Officer Richard French at LAPD media relations claims he's never even heard the name Denise Piccione -- but investigators previously said Ramirez' girlfriend was a "person of interest" in the case.
Piccione is currently being held in Vegas, in lieu of $1,000 bail. (Guess her boyfriend can't get her out of this one; he'll be in jail for the better part of a year, on a separate charge of violating parole.)
Bryan Stow is still recovering, very slowly, in a San Francisco hospital.
