Coroner's officials on Wednesday identified an 11-year-old who was fatally stabbed in an attack near Lancaster Tuesday as Dahial Lanarus. Her 14-year-old sister was wounded and a boy of about 16, who Fox 11 News identified as a relative of the girls, was arrested in connection with the violence.
The attack in the 10300 block of East Avenue R-14 in the community of Littlerock was reported about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, sheriff's officials said. After a two-hour search the boy was found int he neighborhood, according to Fox 11.
The teenage sister, stabbed in the neck and leg, according to reports, was said to be in critical condition at a hospital.
Motive for the stabbings was not immediately known.
