Cops this week were searching for a hit-and-run driver who ended the life of a young Hollywood cameraman who was the son of a federal judge.
David Pregerson, 23, died on New Year's Eve following the Dec. 27 collision in Pacific Palisades, police said.
The LAPD alleges that a southbound driver hit the young man and ...
... continued south on Chautauqua Boulevard without stopping to render aid or call for help.
The accident happened about 3 a.m. on Chautauqua north of Borgos Place, according to LAPD.
Police say that Pregerson "was in the roadway" when he was hit by a vehicle. We called investigators to get more detail but couldn't get through to anyone.

He was a delightful person to be around. He was always smiling.
