Colin Sawyer: Girl Scout Cookie Bandit Seen On Video Now In Custody, Cops Say
If Southern California had its own Florida -- you know, a place where all the crazy-dumb crime happens -- it would be the Inland Empire.
True to form, cops last night announced the arrest of Colin Sawyer, a 20-year-old super-tough guy whom they say stole cash from a Girl Scout cookie sale right from under the noses of a surly bunch: Girl Scouts themselves.
After distributing this video to the media, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department says they got their man. Can you say, drop a dime?

He was taken into custody at 7:20 p.m. last night where else? At a gas station near
Phelan and Baldy Mesa roads in scenic Phelan, according to a sheriff's statement.
Cops say Sawyer ran off with the day's proceeds from a Sunday's worth of cookie sales outside the Phelan Stater Bros. market about 6:50 p.m. that night. According to the department, he allegedly ...
... walked up to the table, took the bag, and ran. One of the Girl Scouts ran after him, but fell causing minor scrapes and scratches.
Loco. The local cookie-snatchers gang will surely try to recruit this suspect.
