The District Attorney filed a felony complaint against R&B star Chris Brown this morning, charging him with "willfully and unlawfully commit[ting] an assault on ROBYN F. by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury." Brown is also charged with making a criminal threat against Robyn F -- a second felony. The legal name of Brown's girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna, is Robyn Rihanna Fenty. Brown allegedly beat Rihanna inside a parked car in Hancock Park last month, following an argument after a pre-Grammy Awards party. Brown is to be arraigned downtown sometime after 3:30 p.m. today.

showing Rihanna's bruised and swollen face, taken shortly after the
alleged beating. The leaked image, apparently released by police
personnel, infuriated LAPD Chief Bill Bratton, who ordered an inquiry.
