Chad Andrew, L.A. Homicide No. 145: 22-year-old Man Fatally Shot at Gas Station in South L.A.
Chad Andrew, 22, was shot dead on July 5 around 3:50 a.m. The shooting occurred on the corner of Vernon and Western Avenues. (See map after the jump)
Andrew, along with another companion, were shot in their car by two unidentified black male suspects at the Valero gas station, according to Sgt. Jim Lewis of LAPD's 77th Division. Andrew died at the scene, while the other victim was transported to a local hospital in "critical but stable condition," said Sgt. Lewis. The suspects, who fled the scene, were described as being between the ages of 18 and 30, according to Detective Chris Barling of LAPD Homicide.
