3 Allegedly Killed Man They Claimed Had Kidnapped Them
A trio was behind bars over the weekend after one of them called authorities and claimed they had knocked out a man who had tried to kidnap them.
Gardena police weren't buying the story, however, and the three, including a 15-year-old, were arrested on suspicion of murder, the department stated.
The alleged plot unraveled Friday about 5 p.m. when ...
... cops received the report about an unconscious man in a truck whom the caller alleged had tried to kidnap the three, the Gardena Police Department said in a statement.

The victim, found in that vehicle in the 13100 block of Daleside Avenue, was not responsive, and responding paramedics declared him dead at the scene, police said.
He was later identified as 34-year-old Bradley Hayes of Hesperia.
"Further information" led detectives to question the story, and soon the three were in cuffs and behind bars, the Gardena department said.
Suspects were identified as 36-year-old Jennifer Nichols and 23-year-old Alejandro Terrazas of Hawthorne, police said. The underage teen was not ID'd.
If there was a motive (besides the claim of kidnapping) for this alleged homicide, cops aren't yet saying what it was.
