This Thursday, January 28, jazz lovers should head out to Spaghettini Italian Grill and Jazz Club in Seal Beach for a very special treat: James Moody, the legendary bopper, Dizzy Gillespie associate, and composer of the immortal "Moody's Mood for Love" will be appearing with the Grammy Jazz Ensemble. This is a rare chance to catch the 84-year-old globetrotter, who's been wowing (and wooing) European audiences with his signature soloing since the 1950s, before he embarks on another tour. This is a man who had a Greatest Hits album in 1949(!) and later supplemented his bopping performances with backing gigs for Ann-Margaret, Glen Campbell, Liberace, Elvis Presley, The Osmonds, Charlie Rich, and Lou Rawls.
