When Lip Service clothing founder Drew Bernstein died last week, it sent shockwaves thru the L.A. rocker community. On Friday, friends and fans gather to pay their respects and celebrate his life. Scheduled to perform: Junkyard, Hollywood Roses, The Atoms, "The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs All-Stars" (featuring members of 45 Grave, The Adz, Junkyard, Prima Donna, Speedbuggy and Blacklist Union) Vylette, Jason Charles Miller of Godhead and Casper VonDj of Casper & The Bad Spirits. DJs include yours truly, Michael Stewart, Dayle Gloria, Krieg Knight, Dom Prietto and more.

Pin-ups and party people surely will come in waves for the grand opening of Surf Club, the new gallery next door to famed rocker bar the Burgundy Room. The big tiki-themed kiki will have legendary Cahuenga gatekeeper Torrance performing live, DJs, vendors, art by Surf Club founder Rick Miller, plus Atomikitty, Big Toe, Doug Horne, Tiki Diablo, Skratch Rogers, Ken Ruzic and many more.
