Over the Weekend: Star Warz, SXSW, HARD 13, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Despite the legions of Angelenos headed to Austin for this year's South by Southwest, the city hasn't slowed down one bit. We started the weekend with Devil's Playground's latest Star Warz show and finished with fist-pumping jams at Hard 13.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club took over Echoplex for a three-night stint. Friday night's gig sold out the venue and brought out opening band The Whigs. See more in Timothy Norris' photo gallery.
South by Southwest began this weekend with the interactive portion of the convention. Check out Shannon Cottrell's photo gallery for images of the tech scene's Austin takeover. Keep up on L.A. Weekly's SXSW cover here.
It was a night of pacifiers and neon bracelets at L.A. Live when HARD 13 hit Club Nokia with sets from Fake Blood, Jack Beats, Boy 8-Bit, Destructo, special guest Tommy Lee and more. Check out the crowd in Timothy Norris' photo gallery.
